Stockport’s Drive Home

Being at least 12 feet 8 inches tall and thinner than dental floss, Tim has the kind of physique which might not be pretty to look at but it does have some advantages. For example Tim is able to exit locked buildings via the cavity walls and regularly assists air traffic control by adjusting the wheel alignment on incoming flights as they descend over Cheadle! However, Tim's height means he gets all the really tricky jobs around the office like cleaning out the gutters, changing light bulbs and opening windows, no steps required!

Dave Stearn could help with these jobs but he's not really tall enough and at his age you wouldn't really want him climbing ladders! Sara Hughes kindly offers help regularly but, bless her little cotton socks, struggles to reach anything stored higher than a gnat's whisker!

Only after completing all these tasks will Tim be allowed into his very own specially adapted studio (It's very narrow and has no roof!) to bring you Stockport's Drive Home. Listen every weekday from 4pm on Pure 107.8FM.

Tim'll bring you regular local and national news and sport and will keep his eye on the situation on Stockport's roads as you drive home through the evening rush hour.

Doris Dishes the Dirt

Keep up to date on the latest showbiz goss as Doris steps in to share a bit about what she's learnt from a little curtain twitching, over-the-fence chatting and reading the entertainment mags.

Future Playlist

Tm features a brand new tune - usually weeks before its release every night at 6:40pm. It's your chance to tell him what you think of the songs we play before we put them on the playlist. If you think the song's a future hit or a flop, let Tim know every weeknight by emailing him at tim@pureradio.org.uk, or text in on 07781 48 48 44.

Then you can join Tim as he invites two Pure 107.8FM presenters to discuss the tunes featured during the week. They'll help him to decide which new songs should be on Pure's future playlist. Do you agree with them?? See if their comments match up with yours from 6:30pm in the Friday Guide Future Playlist.

Rare Bit of Welsh

Can you recognise the lyrics to a popular song when they're read out in Welsh? That's the name of the game here - it's not Welsh Rarebit, it's a Rare Bit of Welsh.

Sara does the Welsh bit, Tim gives you the clues and you have to work out the song and the artist each week.  Prepare to be challenged as Tim doesn't make it easy for you!

Revive or Recycle

Each day, Tim heads into the deep, dark record vaults and when he emerges he's bound to have chosen some hidden gem of a track that you haven't heard in yonks. He gives you the chance to vote whether or not to play it (Revive!) or bin it (Recycle!).

Website of the Day

Some are thought provoking, some are quirky and in truth, some are a bit weird! Whatever the topic, you're guaranteed to have a world wide web of sites opened up for you that you'll not hear about anywhere else! If you've got a great website that you want featured, email Tim.

Head to Head

Two classic albums fight it out. Make sure your favourite goes through to the next round by voting now on Pure's home page. You'll hear great tracks from both albums all week with Tim on Drive and Dave at Breakfast on Pure 107.8FM.

Vote for your favourite now on Pure's Home Page.
